Valeriia Yeromenko Abstract reality

The Abstraction of reality is one of the first exhibitions of the photographer Valeriia Yeromenko, who is currently continuing her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The title of the exhibition reflects the essence of the author's recent thematic directions. The focus is on abstracting from the usual way of perceiving reality. Photography as a technology of light registration with the use of a light-sensitive material becomes an ideal medium for visual interpretation of the perceived space. The exhibition presents three series of works through which one can observe the transition from the absurdity of the captured objects to the absence of the objectivity of the depicted; from dealing with familiar products in uncommon contexts to the concept of exploring the essence of photography and the photographic process as a whole.
